The stars of the ATP tour will descend on San Francisco this week for the 2025 Laver Cup, to be held at the Chase Center this Friday to Sunday, September 19 to 21.
Tennis Channel and the Tennis Channel App will bring you all of the action as Team Europe and Team World battle it out in a series of singles and doubles matches. Each win on Friday is worth one point, each win on Saturday is worth two points, and each win on Sunday is worth three points.
The first team to reach 13 points will lift the Laver Cup—and here are 13 things to know about the star-studded team competition:
1. This is the eighth edition of Laver Cup. The first seven took place in Prague (2017), Chicago (2018), Geneva (2019), Boston (2021), London (2022), Vancouver (2023) and Berlin (2024). The location rotates between Europe and cities outside of Europe each year.
2. Team Europe has won five of the seven previous Laver Cups—but Team World has won two of the last three. Team Europe swept the first four editions in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021, before Team World won two straight in 2022 and 2023. The Europeans took the trophy back in 2024.
