Let’s keep this one short and sweet. Holger Rune is the best 18-year-old tennis player in the world. But he’s still a teenager.

According to the oddsmakers, Pablo Carreno Busta is just a -2.5 game favorite. It seems the market slightly overreacted to Rune’s impressive win over Lorenzo Sonego on Tuesday.

Sonego is a very good player, but one of the more unpredictable ones in terms of average level. Carreno Busta is about as level a player as you’ll find on tour, and typically brings a rock-solid game both fitness and ball-striking wise in almost every match.

If the Dane beats the Spaniard, or even covers his spread, I am prepared to tip my cap and lose some money. I will adjust future expectations aaccordingly if Rune—a notorious cramper—beats the ultra fit Carreno Busta in his eighth match in 11 days.

Line Call: Pablo Carreno Busta -2.5 games
