Alexander Zverev vs. Fabian Marozsan

Marozsan’s debut Miami performance is one of the most talked about storylines of the tournament. Still “the new guy on tour,” he knocked out No. 8 seed Holger Rune in an hour and pulled away from No. 9 seed Alex de Minaur, a notable competitor on tour this season, just a round ago.

The Hungarian will break into the Top 40 for the first time in his career come Monday, and a victory over another Top 10 player in this tournament would propel him to No. 30.

Zverev came close to tasting the Miami trophy back in 2018 when he fell to John Isner in a tight three-set championship battle. The German is contesting his 27th ATP Masters 1000 quarterfinal, and knows a thing or two about converting one at this level into a semi (16-10). His vast experience and the level he's bringing to the 305 might just tip the scale in this first-time meeting. Winner: Zverev

Danielle Collins vs. Ekaterina Alexandrova

The last American standing has a tough opponent to get through for a spot in the final. Not only did Alexandrova defeat No. 5 seed Jessica Pegula coming in, she handily took out world No. 1 Iga Swiatek the round before that.

The Russian, who prevented the first all-American semifinal here since Serena and Venus Williams faced off back in 2009, has reached this stage of a WTA 1000 for the second time (2022 Madrid) and can rise as high as No. 11 if she wins the title.

But first she must get through Collins, who has now produced the two deepest 1000 runs of her career in Miami (2018, as a qualifier). Having announced her retirement at the beginning of the year, the 2021 Australian Open finalist praised Alexandrova for evolving her game over the years. Collins also believes she's "timing the ball really well" right now and it's shown in her Miami swan song through a 10-set streak of 6-3 scorelines or better. Winner: Collins

Carlos Alcaraz vs. Grigor Dimitrov

The head-to-head record may favor the Spaniard, but Dimitrov is feeling his tennis at new levels this season. He lifted his first trophy in seven years, and holds his highest ranking since October 2018. Not to mention that he beat Alcaraz in their most recent clash at 2023 Shanghai.

That said, Alcaraz has looked like a man on a mission. Aiming to become the first ATP player to complete the Sunshine Double since Roger Federer back in 2017, the captivating tennis the 20-year-old rediscovered at Indian Wells has carried over to Hard Rock Stadium in his trio of electrifying victories. As one of two former champions left in the draw, it's going to take a special performance to stop the world No. 2. Winner: Alcaraz
