This week on TENNIS.com, we're bringing you five stories—one a day—that highlight the leaderboards of one statistic from 2025.

Yesterday, we kicked things off with this season's ace leaders.

Today, we move from serving up aces to lifting up trophies...

Carlos Alcaraz lifted more trophies than any other player this year, on either the men’s or women’s tour, with an incredible eight titles to his name—a haul that included two majors (Roland Garros and US Open), three Masters 1000s (Monte Carlo, Rome and Cincinnati) and three ATP 500s (Rotterdam, Queen’s Club and Tokyo).

He’s just the third man in the last 10 years to win eight or more titles in a single season, after Andy Murray in 2016 (nine) and Jannik Sinner in 2024 (eight), and just the sixth man this century to achieve the feat, the other three names being, of course, the Big 3.

MEN TO WIN 8+ TITLES IN A SINGLE SEASON THIS CENTURY (tour-level):

  • Roger Federer [11 in 2004, 11 in 2005, 12 in 2006, 8 in 2007]
  • Rafael Nadal [11 in 2005, 8 in 2008, 10 in 2013]
  • Novak Djokovic [10 in 2011, 11 in 2015]
  • Andy Murray [9 in 2016]
  • Jannik Sinner [8 in 2024]
  • Carlos Alcaraz [8 in 2025]
