Welcome to the US Open quarterfinal round, Lloyd Harris. The huge-hitting and extremely fit South African avenged his recent Toronto loss to Reilly Opelka with a 6-7 (7), 6-4, 6-1, 6-3, victory. Harris cracked 36 aces during the match, out-acing everyone’s favorite servebot by 12 total aces.

Things were looking hairy for Harris after he failed to serve out the first set, hitting three double faults in a row.

“I'm relieved to get through that fourth round,” Harris said. “After that first set today, I think I had a big opportunity there at 5-4, serving for it. I served three double-faults. I looked at my coach, I said, ‘I've never done that before. That was the first time ever.’
