In a win-or-go-home round-robin clash at the ATP Finals on Friday night, Andrey Rublev battled back to defeat Stefanos Tsitsipas, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, and move through to the semifinals of the season-ending championships for the first time in his career.

His victory over the No. 3-ranked Greek continued an incredible trend for the Russian, too: he’s now won seven of his last nine matches against Top 3 players, a stretch that dates back to 2019.

He started his career 0-3 against the elite, and has gone 7-2 since.
