Spanish teenager Carlos Alcaraz made his Top 5 debut last Monday after reaching the final of Hamburg, rising from No. 6 to No. 5, and now—after reaching his second final in as many weeks in Umag—he’s projected to rise from No. 5 to No. 4 as per the ATP live rankings, switching spots with current No. 4 Stefanos Tsitsipas.

The 19-year-old defeated Italian qualifier Giulio Zeppieri in the semifinals in Umag today, 7-5, 4-6, 6-3, fighting off set points serving at 4-5 en route to taking the first set, then dropping the second set before rebounding to win the decider.

Alcaraz is already one of only three teenagers this century to have reached the Top 5 on the ATP rankings, alongside the two men with the most Grand Slam titles in the entire history of the sport—Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
