After not playing since Indian Wells—she missed the last seven weeks due to a shoulder injury—Garbine Muguruza made a winning return to the tour on Friday, defeating Ajla Tomljanovic in the first round of Madrid, 7-5, 6-2.

Not only was the straight-sets victory revenge for a loss in the pair’s last meeting, which came at the fall edition of Indian Wells last October, but it was also a personal milestone: it was the 300th WTA win of Muguruza’s career.

Muguruza is now 300-163 in her career in WTA matches.

MUGURUZA’S WTA CAREER WIN-LOSS BY SURFACE:
209-112 on hard (.651)
61-34 on clay (.642)
30-17 on grass (.638)

The Spaniard has won 10 career WTA titles, and although the vast majority of them—8 of the 10—have come on hard courts, her two biggest career titles have come on the other two surfaces, winning her first major on clay at Roland Garros in 2016 and her second major on grass at Wimbledon in 2017.
