The Grand Slam tournament most steeped in tradition is getting another modern upgrade in 2026.
Wimbledon will use video review technology for the first time at this year's tournament, the All England Club announced on Saturday during a media briefing 100 days from the start of the event.
The grass-court Grand Slam says that the technology to review specific calls made by the chair umpire will be available on Centre Court, No. 1 Court and four other show courts: No. 2 Court, No. 3 Court, Court 12 and Court 18. Players will have unlimited opportunities to review whether a ball bounced touched, whether they touched the net, or other decisions either on a point-ending call, when a player immediately stops play, or immediately after the completion of a point (in the case of hindrance).
