Venus Williams isn’t done yet at Flushing Meadows!

After accepting Leylah Fernandez’s invitation to pair up in doubles, the two produced a memorable team debut inside Louis Armstrong Stadium late Thursday afternoon.

Taking on sixth seeds Lyudmyla Kichenok and Ellen Perez, Williams and Fernandez joined forces to complete a 7-6 (4), 6-3 victory. Afterwards, Fernandez encouraged her legendary partner to commemorate the win with her signature twirl.
