The former world No. 1 continued his triumphant return to the Nordea Open, an event he last played in 2005, and scored a 6-4, 6-4 victory over the fifth-seeded Brit to reach his second quarterfinal of the season.
The former semifinalist used his experience to take down fellow lefty in a three-set battle.
